Over three days, you will attend presentations by Namibian government representatives and industry leaders who will provide detailed insights into the economy, real estate, and future development plans. You will also learn about the various visa opportunities available for long-term residence and work as an investor.
Participants will have the chance to meet and connect with native Namibian entrepreneurs seeking business investment. Through structured networking sessions, you can engage in meaningful conversations with local business owners, explore their current ventures, and discuss potential partnerships. These interactions will allow you to match with entrepreneurs who have innovative ideas or established businesses that are open to investment.
The investment opportunities presented during this event will offer a stake or share of 15% or greater in various businesses, with a range of investor requirements. Our event includes optional tours to Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, allowing you to extend your stay and explore more of Namibia's unique natural beauty and attractions. Frequently asked questions

Our event will provide information about the various visas available. We can also assist with helping you with your application when you're ready.
Can you help with other countries?
This event is only for information regarding Namibia. We are not connected with any other countries at this time.
Can you help me run a business I start?
Once you establish a business in Namibia or become an investor our team can assist you as business consultants. We can help with marketing, business operations strategy, and managing overseas communication.
Who is running this event?
We are Shofar Business Consultants, CC, a registered business in Namibia. Our founders are Bennie and Krystal Covington, US business leaders residing in Namibia. We have our own real estate holdings and business investments in Namibia and years of experience in business consulting and leadership.
Will I have time to network with other attendees?
Yes, we provide ample networking time to allow you to meet other attendees as well as Namibian leaders and entrepreneurs.
What if I have a special diet?
In your registration form, let us know about all your dietary restrictions and preferences. We will accommodate all diets. We will also have restaurants nearby where you can choose to order a separate meal should you dislike anything offered or need additional snacks.
Is this conference only for Americans?
No. We are American citizens of the African diaspora and know that experience best, but our conference is suitable for investors from anywhere in the world and all backgrounds are invited to attend.
What if I'm not in the African Diaspora?
Investors from all backgrounds are invited to attend. Our event will specifically address some of the experiences of the African Diaspora -those who have ancestral roots in Africa but have lived abroad in other countries and want to reconnect or connect for the first time. We will address that group in our conversations, but the information provided will be valuable for anyone interested in joining in.
What if I want to stay longer?
All guests are welcome to stay longer to enjoy Namibia. We can refer you to many great tourist opportunities to get to know the country even better. We recommend planning a two-week trip to really get to see more and meet more contacts.
Where should we stay?
We recommend Namibian-owned Essence Lifestyle, a self-catering hotel (Airbnb style) with excellent amenities, great staff, and a shuttle to get around. Essence also provides tourism options to various locations around the country.
Alternatively, Hilton Hotel is an excellent option for a traditional hotel-experience in walking distance to local venues you may want to visit.
Is there a virtual option?
We make our events very interactive, making it challenging to facilitate a good experience on Zoom. If your goal is to get the information and some tailored connections, our team is available for consultative services starting at $700 USD to help you build a strategy for your own personal situation. Whether you're interested in investing or called to relocate to Namibia and need a place to start, we can assist.
What if I just want to move to Namibia and not invest?
Namibia has several visa options; for most individuals not of retirement age, a business-related visa is required. Getting an employment visa typically requires some investment in the form of real estate and a business investment such as forming a new business or investing in a Namibian business.
The NIPDB has a resource guide to learn more about starting a business, understand the economy, and seek details on visa requirements.
Can I bring children?
This event is for adults only, and we will not be providing childcare. Don't hesitate to get in touch with us at team@shofarbc.com if you have a more nuanced question about this such as a teenager well equipped to sit through the conference and stay close to their parent.
Can I start investing with a small amount?
We will provide connections to opportunities as low as $3,000 USD. The more you invest, the larger the opportunity and the higher the returns. Some investments will be group opportunities where several investors can join together to make a larger opportunity possible, such as purchasing a plant for manufacturing goods where a clear market need is available.
What are the legal fees for investing?
We suggest always using a lawyer for business formation and contracts. This usually costs around $800 USD, including filing paperwork at BIPA, drafting the membership agreement, and administrating the first members' meeting.
The cost of legal management can increase depending on your needs, the type of business you have, and any additional contracts required to manage the business agreement.

“Who are these who fly like a cloud, And like doves to their roosts? Surely the coast lands shall wait for Me; And the ships of Tarshish will come first, To bring your sons from afar, Their silver and their gold with them, To the name of the Lord your God, And to the Holy One of Israel, Because He has glorified you.
